Thanks for the feedback!
Type the topic of your video and this generator returns a description skeleton: an opening sentence that names the topic, a timestamps block, a subscribe line and hashtags built from the topic's words. It is a fixed template with your topic slotted in, meant to save a new creator from facing an empty description box, not a finished piece of copy.
What the template contains
Entering Budget Travel in Goa and pressing Generate description produces exactly this:

Every part except your topic is the same for every video, so each section needs editing before you publish. Use Copy result to take it into YouTube Studio.
Editing each section
The opening line
Only the first couple of lines are visible before viewers tap "more", so replace the generic promise with what the video actually delivers, such as "A three-day Goa plan under ₹10,000 per person, covering hostels, scooter hire and the quieter beaches in the south."
The timestamps
The times 00:00, 01:00, 05:00 and 08:00 are placeholders. YouTube turns timestamps in a description into video chapters when the first one is 00:00, there are at least three in ascending order, and each chapter lasts at least 10 seconds. The template meets those rules, so if you leave the placeholder times in, YouTube may create chapters that start at the wrong moments. Replace them with real times and titles, and delete any line beyond your video's length.
The hashtags
Every word of the topic becomes a lowercase hashtag, including small words, which is why the example ends with #in. Delete the filler and keep the useful ones. YouTube shows up to three hashtags from the description above the video title when the title has none of its own, and if a video carries more than 60 hashtags, YouTube ignores all of them. Accented letters are simplified (Café becomes #cafe), and words in Devanagari or other non-Latin scripts are dropped, so a Hindi topic produces an empty hashtag line; type those tags yourself.
A checklist before you publish
- Add the links your viewers need: products or gear mentioned, related videos, a playlist and your social profiles.
- If the video includes a paid partnership or affiliate links, say so clearly. ASCI's guidelines for influencer advertising in India require disclosure, and YouTube Studio has its own paid-promotion setting.
- Credit music and footage you have licensed.
- Stay within YouTube's limit of 5,000 characters for a description.
What the generator does not do
It does not watch your video, suggest keywords or write custom sentences; the output changes only in the places where your topic appears. For tag ideas, try the YouTube tag generator, and for extra hashtag options the hashtag generator. The template is assembled in your browser.
