Love Calculator
A fun compatibility score between two names.
The classic name compatibility game
Enter two names, get a compatibility percentage — the digital version of the FLAMES game generations played in the back pages of school notebooks. The score is computed from the letters of the names, so the same pair always gets the same result (yes, people check).
How the score is generated
The algorithm derives a number from the characters of both names combined. It's deterministic — not random — which makes it more fun: you can "verify" a friend's result, compare every crush systematically, and argue about whether middle names count. (For science, obviously.)
The obvious disclaimer, sincerely
This is entertainment. Real compatibility comes from communication, shared values, respect and effort — none of which are encoded in name spellings. A 23% score has broken exactly zero real relationships, and a 98% has saved none. Use it for laughs at parties, ice-breakers in group chats, and teasing friends.
Private by design
Names are processed in your browser and never sent or stored anywhere — your secret crush stays secret. Calculate freely.
Frequently asked questions
Is the love percentage scientifically accurate?
Not even slightly — it's a deterministic game based on the letters of the names, made for fun. Real compatibility cannot be computed from spellings.
Why does the same pair always get the same score?
The result is calculated from the names' characters, not randomly — so identical inputs always produce identical scores, which is half the fun.
Are the names I enter stored anywhere?
No — calculation happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server or saved.
Do spelling and nicknames change the result?
Yes — "Aishwarya" and "Aish" produce different scores since the letters differ. Pick a convention and defend it passionately.
