Your exact age, down to the day

Enter your date of birth and instantly see your age in years, months and days — plus totals in weeks, days, hours and minutes. You can also set an "age on" date to calculate how old you were (or will be) on any specific day, which is exactly what exam forms and government applications ask for.

Why exam and job forms need this

Eligibility criteria like "must be 18–27 years as on 01/08/2026" require your precise age on a cutoff date, not today. Calculating this by hand across month lengths and leap years is error-prone — one day off can mean a rejected application. Set the cutoff in the "age on date" field and read off the exact figure.

How the calculation handles leap years

The tool counts real calendar months and days, so February 29 birthdays and varying month lengths are handled correctly. Someone born on 29 Feb 2004 is exactly 22 years old on 29 Feb 2026 — and the tool knows it.

Fun numbers

The total-days figure is great for milestones: your 10,000th day of life lands around age 27.4, and your 20,000th around 54.8. The hours and minutes counts make for good birthday trivia too.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the age calculation?

Exact to the day — it uses real calendar arithmetic, correctly handling leap years and 28/29/30/31-day months rather than approximating a month as 30 days.

Can I calculate age on a past or future date?

Yes — fill the optional "age on date" field with any date, past or future. Leave it blank to use today.

Why do exam forms use a cutoff date for age?

To give every applicant a single fair reference point regardless of when they apply. Your eligibility is judged by your age on that date, not on the day you submit the form.

What if I was born on February 29?

The tool handles leap-day births correctly. In non-leap years, your age in "years" increments on March 1, following the most common legal convention.
