Thanks for the feedback!
Instagram Caption Generator gives you six short caption ideas around a topic you type, from a "POV" line to a "this is your sign" nudge. It helps when you have the photo or Reel ready but can't think of an opening line; pick the one that fits your mood and build on it.
What you get for a topic
Type a topic in the box and press Generate captions. The topic is dropped into six fixed patterns exactly as you typed it. For "beach day":
Chasing dreams and beach day vibes ✨ POV: you finally figured out beach day 😎 Less talk, more beach day. 🚀 This is your sign to start with beach day today 💫 Some days are about beach day. Today is one of them ☀️ New chapter: beach day. Loading… ⏳
If you leave the box empty, "today" is used as the topic. The same six patterns appear every time, so pressing the button again with the same topic won't give new lines; changing the wording of the topic will.
Phrasing the topic so every line reads well
Because the topic is slotted straight into each sentence, some combinations read awkwardly. "This is your sign to start with beach day today" works less well than "Some days are about beach day". A few ways around that:
- Use a short noun phrase: "monsoon chai", "Sunday baking", "first marathon".
- Try two or three variations, such as "beach day" and "the perfect beach day", and take the best line from each set.
- Match the topic to the caption: "POV: you finally figured out sourdough" works because sourdough is something you learn.
- Type the topic in the case you want. It isn't capitalised for you, so "Goa trip" stays "Goa trip".
From one-liner to a caption that performs
The generated lines work well as a hook, the first line people see before tapping "more". Add a sentence or two below them with something only you can say:
- A specific detail: where it was, what went wrong, what you learned, what the recipe needs.
- A question that's easy to answer: "Tea or coffee in the rain?" gets more replies than "Thoughts?".
- A few relevant hashtags at the end; the Hashtag Generator can build a set from your description.
Instagram has said its search matches words in captions as well as hashtags, so naming the place, dish or activity in plain words also helps people discover the post. For photos, add alt text through the post's advanced settings so people using screen readers know what the image shows.
Limits and good practice
- Captions can be up to 2,200 characters, but in the feed only the opening line or two show before the post is cut off, which is why the first line matters most.
- Emojis at the end of each generated line set the tone; swap them if they don't fit your brand, for example 🚀 on a calm travel post.
- For sponsored posts, use Instagram's Paid partnership label and a clear disclosure such as "#ad"; in India, ASCI's influencer guidelines require it.
- Because the patterns are shared by everyone who uses this page, edit the line enough that your caption doesn't read like a template.
To set up the profile that people see when they tap through from a post, the Instagram Bio Generator offers layouts to start from.
