The voice list shows what's installed on your system: Chrome on Android typically includes Indian English (en-IN) and Hindi (hi-IN) voices; Windows and iOS ship their own sets. If a language you need is missing, installing it in your device's text-to-speech settings makes it appear here.

Tips for natural output
Punctuation drives the rhythm — proper commas and full stops produce natural pauses, wall-of-text produces robot-drone. Numbers, dates and abbreviations read better written out ("twenty-five percent" vs "25%") when the voice stumbles. Speed 0.9–1.1x sounds most human; 1.5x+ is for power-skimming.

No — speech comes from your device's built-in engine, so it works offline and your text is never uploaded anywhere.
Can it speak Hindi or regional languages?
If your device has those voices installed (most Android phones include Hindi), they appear in the voice list. Add more in your device's text-to-speech settings.
Can I download the speech as MP3?
Browser speech synthesis plays audio but doesn't expose a recording. To capture it, use a screen/audio recorder while it plays.
Why do voices differ between my phone and laptop?
